Why Nobody Cares Nandi Awards?? - Murali Mohan

After the formation of the two Telugu states, there was some hesitation about the awards. The government of joint state used to issue Nandi awards. After the partition of Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam had issued Nandi awards in 2014, 15, 16 and 16 years respectively. Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Legend' has received nine 'Nandi Awards' and Bunny Vasu claimed that this is unfair towards mega family.

Those awards were not yet distributed. The Telangana government though promoted that they will issue 'Simha' awards, KCR government withdrew that attempt. Almost all audiences and industry circles have forgotten about the Nandi and the Simha awards. T. Jayasudha will be given the 'Abhinaya Mayuri' award in Vishakha on the occasion of Subbirami Reddy's birthday. Murali Mohan Nandi spoke at a press conference on the occasion.

Murali Mohan said, "The government has not been giving Nandi awards for six years. Nobody cares."
