“We erected huge sets for Bhaagmathie” - Ravindra

Anushka earned a ‘lady superstar’ status with her film ‘Arundhati’ and her latest flick Bhaagmathie is all set to release on the 26th of this month. The art director of the film Mr.Ravindra who erected some of the beautiful sets for the film has spoke to the media…

Can you tell us about the film’s sets?

Going by the story, the film needs a 200-year-old bungalow and after a thorough research and by using a new technology, the bungalow was finished within 29 days. Everybody was pleased after looking at the set and it helped us push the line.

How are the sets different from other films?

Bhaagmathie is not a full-size horror film but has only a few elements of horror. There’s no comparison between other films and Bhaagamathie. We’ve shot for 45 days at the bungalow and the scenes shot here are going to be the highlight of the film. A lot of bucks were spent on this set but each rupee spent will be evident on the screen. I can say this is one of my best works so far

Your opinion on the film?

Everybody is confident that the film is a good effort. All I can say is that we put our genuine efforts into making the film and we hope it’ll please the audience.

What are your next projects?

I’m currently making a film with Maruthi and Naga Chaitanya and Mohan Krishna Indraganti. I’ve also agreed to a film with Sudheer Varma and another Tamil film.
