Two lives together is Oopiri - Vamsi Paidipally

Vamshi Paidipally, who entered the film industry with "Munna" gained good fame as a commercial director with his "Brundavanam" and "Yevadu". "Oopiri" is his latest movie starring Nagarjuna and Karthi.

Movie is all set for grand release on this 25th. On such occasion, the director found some time to spend with the reporters... News in his own words....

What made you work on such movie with an emotional touch?
In fact, I hate movies that carry tragedy and tears but after watching "Intouchables", I have decided to remake it. This movie makes you smile even if it's making you cry.

What is Oopiri story line?
Every human has emotions and they come out when required. Our movie is a mixture of such emotions. Everyone can relate the movie with someone in their real life after watching this. The movie doesn't have great twists it's just a simple family entertainer.

Are there any changes done to meet the Telugu nativity?
The original movie "Intouchables" is a wonder. It can be first among the world's best movies. Even though it's a wonderful movie our audience can't digest it as it is so we have made changes in both Telugu and Tamil.

Any custom changes to match our stars?
Initially made few changes in the second half to match Nagarjuna which he denied saying don't make any changes from the original. Then I took two months to complete the entire script which Nagarjuna accepted.

Was Shruthi Hassan decided as a heroine?
Yes. She first said yes and then suddenly said no just two days before the movie was about to be on sets with a reason that her dates aren't available. It was more hurting to hear a no just two days before the commencement. We were happy when Tammanah said yes to the movie.

What made you to remake the movie in two languages?
It wasn't planned for Tamil but when Karthi was chosen he started helping as an assistant director which made my work to remake in Tamil so easy. The whole credit goes to Karthi.

What are your upcoming movies?
Presently movies are in discussions with Akhil. I couldn't disclose anything before this movie release.
