Tollywood films bag a fortune in Northern plain

Karan Johar’s Dharma productions witnessed a nation wide phenomenon of stupendous collections with Baahubali and established a market for Telugu films in the northern territory. Recently, many Tollywood films are being made, keeping in mind the wide reach of markets across the globe and producers from Bollywood are contending to acquire these rights.
While Allu Arjun’s DJ sold it’s Hindi rights for 7 crores and proved successful, Rana’s upcoming political/action 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ was bid at 11 crores. Mahesh Babu and A.R.Murugadoss’s SPYder hit it out of the ballpark as it bagged a whopping 28 crore deal for its Hindi rights. A.R Murugadoss’s previous landmark film 'Ghajini' also made waves in Bollywood as it was the first movie to earn a 100 crore net at the time (2008).
