After the consecutive hits of Rarandoy veduka chuddam and Premam, Naga Chaitanya is excited about the release of his latest flick Yuddham Saranam. The film is directed by Krishna .V.Marimuthu and is produced by Sai Korrapati under his own Varahi Cine Chitra banner. The star shared his excitement and details about his marriage with Samantha in the following interview

Any particular reason for coming up with a thriller this time?

Yea, It’s my first flick in the thriller genre but the film goes beyond a thriller and entices all the elements of love, family, and other emotions. The screenplay fits thriller format perfectly and each scene ends with a twist. The film grips the audience from start till end.

how was it meeting college students?

It was a pleasant experience. The film is mainly a youth entertainer and will appeal to the young audience. Since the film needed support from the youth, We approached the students openly. The energy they radiate is amazing. Bheemvaram women’s college was craziest of em all and looking at the huge crowds, I wondered If I had such a huge following among girls. They were all trying to click selfies and I just felt so amazed.

To what extent the action is shown in the film?

The climax fight scene between me and Srikanth is filled with action. Though there are other action sequences in the film, We didn’t project as much. Because mainly, The film runs on the mind play between the lead characters.

Was Krishna given a chance since he is your friend? or to prove himself as a director?

He had to prove himself as a director. I had a dream since long to make a film with a friend and this film had fulfilled my experience. The output comes out totally different when you work with a friend. Also, Krishna struggled as an assistant director for 5 years and came up with Yuddham Saranam. We all loved the script and won a unanimous vote and thus the film took off.

How was producer Sai Korrapati’s making?

Hats off to the encouragement Mr.Sai Korrapati gives to the newcomers. Because of newcomers, new content will be introduced into the Industry and help it grow. Mr.Sai Korrapati believes in the story and supports new comers. This is no easy task and needs a lot of courage. After hearing the story, he wanted to make it on a big scale and approached Ramo Ramesh, Srikanth and Revati who’s star presence really helped elevate the film.

How was it working with Mr.Srikanth?

I’m really happy to have worked with Mr.Srikanth and I never expected him to do a negative role. His character is not only going to stand out in the film but will also elevate my character.

Is it true that most of the film was shot at night?

Since it’s a thriller, the whole film happens in the span of a day. We took a realistic approach to film the sequences at night for a better appeal to the audience.

How was your character going to be in the film?

I’m a drone maker in the film. The drones that I create too, have a character of their own and runs through out.

What about your marriage?

On 6th October the marriage will be held in Goa in Hindu customs and on 7th in Christian customs. Dad (Nagarjuna) is planning the reception in a grand way in Hyderabad.

What are your next projects?

My next project is Savya Sachi, a perfect commercial flick with Chandu Mondeti and the shoot begins on September 20th, on the eve of my Grandfather’s birthday. My next flick with Maruthi is still under the script dissuasion stage.
