After gaining good craze with the title and audio, Nara Rohit’s latest film Balakrishnudu is set to release on 24th November. Nara Rohit shared his experiences with the film in the following interview…

What is the story of Balakrishnudu?

This is an out and out commercial entertainer. I can’t say that the film will be completely novel, but the narration is new and entertaining. I haven’t played such a role in the past. I’ve been longing to do a commercial film since long and Balakrishnudu happened at the right time.

How was it working with a debut director?

I’ve worked smoothly with several directors in the past and Pavan Mallela is no exception. I liked the way how Mr.Pavan Mallela has narrated the script and immediately agreed to sign the project.

How is your character going to be?

I play Balu in the film. I’m basically a guy who does anything and everything for money but the character is free of any negative shades. This is the most distinct character I’ve played till date.

How was the story finalized?

The story found me through actor Ajay. I used to tell him my desire to act in a commercial entertainer and he thought I’d be apt for the story. Ajay has also played the main villain in the film.

The story behind the title?

There is no particular reason behind the title, we just wanted it to be commercially appealing. The title is receiving a good response.

Looks like you’ve slimmed down for the film?

Not particularly for this film. I was already in the process of losing weight and when director Pavan Mallela further pushed me to lose weight, I just went for it. I lost 21 kgs recently.

Your next projects?

I’m making a thriller film titled Aatagallu with Mr.Jagapathi Babu under Paruchuri Murali direction. I’ve also finalized a project with Chaitanya Dantuluri. I’m currently busy with several story sittings and will announce the details soon.
