Srinivas Gavireddy, director of the recently released Seethamma Andhaalu Ramayya Sithraalu is celebrating the success of the movie. On this account, he met a few media personnel to speak his heart out. Here are some excerpts:

Tell us about your background!
I'm from Narsipatnam in Vishakhapatnam district. I was grown watching Chiranjeevi's films and was an ardent admirer of his. My love for cinema has driven me to this industry. In the earlier days of my career, I've worked as an assistant to Madan sir. Allu Arjun has helped me a lot by teaching me the do's and don'ts of script writing.

How's the response from the audience for your film?
People are enjoying the comic sequences in the film. As it deals with village atmosphere, everyone is willing to watch it with their families aside. Adding to this, people are loving the cricket match sequence in the climax. We're happy with the response from the audience.

Tell us about your producers' reaction to the post release buzz!
Firstly, music director Gopi Sunder admired me saying that I've shot the film exactly the same way I had narrated him. I've finished the film as per the schedule and budget about which my producers are really happy with. We've witnessed a divide talk in the multiplex zone but B and C center audience enjoying it. So far we're happy with the scale of collections.

How is it working with Raj Tarun?
Raj and I are old time buddies. I've written this story imagining him as the protagonist. He believed in me and did whatever I've asked him to do. Now he's quite content with the result.

Some critics claimed that the story is too old, any thoughts on this?
We've never stated that our story is first of its kind. I wanted to portray the lifestyles and behavioural pattern of present day youngsters. I've woven the story with Raj's reputation in mind. Not a scene in the film seems to be artificial. Audience got connected to the emotional drama. I can tell you that they're not disappointed.

What's the most exciting aspect to you in this story?
A guy who quits playing cricket for the sake of a girl in his childhood, starts playing again for the same girl once he grows up. Everyone in the villages has a loves story. I loved this aspect, so do the audience.

Next projects?
I'm working on 2 scripts. I've penned the story and dialogues for the film Garam which is going to be released on the 12th of this month.
