Rajamouli’s master vision for AP Assembly

Director S.S.Rajamouli, the visionary director of Telugu cinema doesn’t just limit his efforts to the film Industry. The director made a presentation video for the State Government of Andhra Pradesh proposing a unique installation in the yet to be materialized assembly hall. The proposal includes a statue of ‘Telugu Talli’ placed in the central platform of the Assembly hall and would receive direct sunlight from the carefully designed rig. Mr.Rajamouli said in the video, that he took inspiration from the temples of Arasavalli Suryanarayana temple and Gudimallam Parasurameswara temple. In both the temples, the idols are placed at such a point that the first rays of the sun, would directly cast upon them.

The video shows a conceptualized AP Assembly hall with the ‘Telugu Thalli’ installation already in place. A series of mirrors would be placed in a contraption that has the ability to rotate 360 degrees. The movment of the rig will be computerized and a series of 3 mirrors would capture and transmit the light onto the statue.
