With 3 consecutive hits (Uyyaala Jampaala, Cinema Choopistha Maava, Kumari 21 f) in a row, Raj Tarun is now the most sought after actor in Telugu film industry. All set for release of his next film Seethamma Andhaalu Ramayya Sithraalu. With the release scheduled on 29th of this month, he's busy in promoting the film. Here are some excerpts from his interview with media.

A few words about the story:
I've instantly liked the concept when Srinivas narrated it to me. The film was designed in accordance with my body language. This one's different from my earlier films. It's kind of a childhood love story which anyone can relate to.
It's a story about a village guy called Raamudu who does nothing except roaming with his friends. What all he does for his lady-love Sita is the film about. The director named the story only after drafting the final version.

What sort of prep work have you done for your 3 films' success?
To be honest, it wasn't tough for me to act in my earlier films. I enjoy acting once the story gets connected to me. Neither a success makes me happy nor a failure crushes me. I learn from my mistakes and keep moving forward.

Don't you feel that your film is going to have a tough competition this 29th?
Three more films are going to be released on the same day. It takes forever if we keep on waiting for a day with no other films to compete with. If the film has a strong content, that itself is enough to be a success. All the four films which were released on the Sankranthi occasion stood commercially successful and I hope the same will be happening on 29th of this month.

Reason behind working with new directors?
We all work hard to taste success. Young directors have that fire in them. First film for them is always a question of life and death. They drive themselves every moment with a compulsion to deliver a hit.

How do you like the audience to remember you as?
I don't have any false hopes of emerging as a action hero. I want to be called as a good actor rather than a star. I think now people in the industry believe that, to make a content driven movie they have an option called Raj Tarun. That's enough for me. In my opinion any movie which reaches the audience hearts is itself a commercial success.

How do you work in the sets?
Once I step in the location, I forget everything else. I neither carry my mobile phone nor have any contact with my friends. I try to be as familiar as possible with the character. I always try to deliver the output according to the director's imagination.

Reason behind choosing Srinivas as the director?
Srinivas is an old friend of mine. He had approached me with this script which I believed was a suitable one to act after doing an unconventional film like Kumari 21 F. He has a strong grip on dealing with emotions and penning finest dialogues. He's a kind of person who does whatever he likes to do come what may.

About being busy with films!
After Uyaala Jampaala I've taken my time and acted in Cinema Choopistha Maava. Then I was offered Kumari 21 F and Seetham Andhaalu Ramayya Sithraalu. These days, directors with unique scripts are approaching me. I hate idly sitting around and love to be occupied throughout the year.

Tell us about the film with Manchu Vishnu.
I'm playing a lead role alongside Manchi Vishnu in a project which is a remake of a Punjabi film. Mr. Nageswara Reddy is the director of it. I've accepted the film not just because of the involvement of the Manchu family but for the genuine story it has. Now Manchu Vishnu is like a brother to me. We're planning the release on 14th of April.
He concluded the interview by saying that he has signed up films with the Geetha Arts and Dil Raju banners.
