Prakash Raj to play veteran writer Chakrapani

Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Mahanati’ - a biopic on the legendary actress Savitri is lining up an interesting cast. Prakash Raj is on board for playing the role of Chakrapani, a veteran Telugu writer/director who was a prominent figure during the 50’s. While Keerthi Suresh is playing Savitri, Dulqar Salman is playing Gemini Ganeshan and Samantha will be seen as a journalist.  

 Aluri Chakrapani is known for his prolific Telugu writing and translations of famous Bengali novels of Sharat Chandra Chatterjee. The writer turned producer had produced some of the masterpieces including Maya Bazaar, Gundamma Katha, and Missamma along with his long time associate B.Nagi Reddy
