Tell about yourself?

We are from Hyderabad. My dad used to make serials and gave up recently. I have studied in Puttaparthi and always dreamt of becoming an actor. During my degree, my dad seriously said to do anything seriously. If I want to act he wouldn't want to waste money on my college fee. I was confident that going to college isn't necessary for me to get a good degree so decided to join acting course. Acted in "Suthradari" and people approached me for various stage plays. Dad suggested me to approach offices with photos of mine for chances to act which wasn't an easy task for me with many questions in mind. Heard that auditions were going on for Teja movie and attended it and was lucky enough to be chosen for a lead role in it. Unluckily it wasn't materialized later.I Got a chance in Shekar kammula's "life is beautiful "but it wasn't a lead role. He gave me a side character which I wasn't sure to take up. Finally, I said yes to the role to escape from doing MBA, that was pressure from family.

How did you get the opportunity in Evade Subramanyam?

I met Nagi once who offered me to act in his ad. I acted in the trial version of "Evade Subramanyam" as well and got a role in it. My character is hyperactive, which doesn't resemble my real character.

How did Pelli Choopulu happen?

Director Tharun approached me after watching "Evade Subramanyam". We knew each other but didn't meet before. Our script wasn't encouraged by any producer that led us to crowd funding. Meanwhile, Yash and Raj heard our narration and trusted the script and gave us money to finish the movie in 35 days with sync sound. Sync sound helps in getting natural performance and dialogue delivery.

How is the response for your character?

I appeared as a chef in the movie. Cooking was never my section so brought a Chinese food stall guy for day one and then a chef to the sets who held my hand and started showing how to cut vegetables scaring me to death about my fingers. It's a lazy character. I take it as a compliment if someone says there is a difference in my action between movies. I am being appreciated for this movie.
