Oka Manasu concept excited me - Rama Raju

"Oka Manasu" is directed by Rama Raju, "MallelaTeeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu" fame and produced by Madhura Sridhar Reddy under the banner Madhura Entertainments starring Naga Shaurya and Niharika. The movie is presented by TV9. 

The movie is all set for release on June 24th. On this occasion, director Rama Raju shared his feelings with the reporters.

what is the reason for working on Oka Manasu?

Directing a pure love story excited me. Every human will remember love stories. People were influenced by money. I just showed what is a reality with human drama.

what is the reason for choosing Niharika?

Once the script was ready I have decided to choose a commercial face for the movie with the encouragement from TV9. Approached Regina and Samantha about the same who said yes to the story but no to the dates. When we are confident about the story there is no necessity for commercial face, so we have decided to select a new face. Madhura Sridhar Reddy suggested Niharika's name. I immediately Googled for her images and found that she is perfect for Sandhya role in my script.

How is support from mega family?

Initially, I was worried about the restrictions that I might get for selecting someone from mega family but proceeded as Niharika was apt for Sandhya role.Explained the story to Niharika's parents deciding that to either make corrections or to change the heroine if there are more objections. Niharika liked the story so much.  

why there is a bridge between your two movies?

Took a year gap after "Mallela Theeram Lo" deciding not to do movies anymore. Movies today are more business oriented than an art. It took a quite time for me to digest that fact and start the second movie. Pure love stories are not released recently. Telugu audience encourages all sincere efforts.
