How’s the response for Khaki?

The film released on 17th November in both Telugu and Tamil languages and is receiving a good talk. People are appreciating the film for its authenticity. The film is based on a crime story between 1995 - 2005. Director Vinod came up with such an amazing story with the concept. The film will increase people’s respect towards the Police system. I played Priya in the film. I’ve enjoyed not just my character but the film as a whole. Since my dad is in the army, I know who hard a profession it is. While in Rajasthan, our house was close to Pakistan border and I’ve even had the experience of watching gun fires first hand.

How was it working with Karthi?

Karthi is an experimental actor. I know the huge efforts Karthi has put for the film. Director Vinod designed each character with such precision and the research was very extensive.

Would you convey something to the women?

Since our system is weak at the moment, women are being targeted easily for sexual harassment. Arab nations impose huge punishments for sexual offenders. So, we too, should bring such strict laws in our country as well. This will generate a sort of fear in sexual offenders and keep them at bay. I had several pre conceptions about the movie industry but have never faced such an issue.

Tell us about your next films?

I’m currently making a film under Mr.Niraj Pandey’s direction titled ‘Ayari’. This is an army based film and my character is going to a fresh take. I’ve even started dubbing for the film and is releasing in February. I’m also making two films in Tamil and one in Telugu. In one of these Tamil films, I’m pairing up with Karthi and is going to be a modern age love entertainer
