Mahesh took Central Minister Help  

While doing a film in Army officer backdrop, the film should be shot in Kashmir! Mahesh Babu shot the film Sarileru Neekevvaru as an army officer in Jammu and Kashmir. A few days of shooting was held in Pahalgam and some more days in Srinagar. However, they didn't get permission easily to shoot there. They worked very hard. Sarileru Neekevvaru's team took the help of Central Minister Rajanath Singh. With his recommendation, they got permission.

That too they got permission to shoot from early morning 5 to 10. Producers gave bulletproof security for Mahesh to reach the shooting location from the hotel.  The central government announced the cancellation of Article 370 the next day after the movie unit reached Hyderabad by completing their shoot. Security became tighter in Jammu and Kashmir. Shooting may not be possible if the same statement comes before the shooting.
