Adah Sharma has won many hearts with her debut film, Heart Attack. Later, she acted in few films but none of them boosted her career. Now she’s confident with her new film Garam which is all set to release on 12th of this month. On this note, she chatted with the media to spill some beans about the film.

About your role in this film!
I’ve played a Muslim girl role in this film for the first time. My character speaks seldom and emotes with her eyes.

How did they choose you for the role?
Madan sir had watched Heart Attack and contacted me. He liked my role in that film which expresses more with eyes. I’m not fond of doing cute girl roles. I’d like to be remembered as a natural actress.

Have you done any homework for this role?
I’ve watched Mani Ratnam sir’s Bombay as a reference. I love all of his films. I’ve tried to follow Manisha who played the character of a Muslim girl in that film. My cinematographer has done a great job in making me look good on screen.

How is it dancing with Aadhi?
I never had a chance of dancing in my previous films as the stories didn’t permit it. This film gave me the chance to dance. I’ve tapped my feet for four of the five songs in this film. I’ve enjoyed dancing to the song, “Chiluka Paapa.”

What’s your definition of Garam?
Garam means anger and hot. We can infer many meanings of it. Everyone has a different definition to it. I can’t call this film a love story. It’s an amalgam of love, action and entertainment.

What sorts of characters are you interested in playing?
I’ve played a glamorous role in my first film, 1920. I don’t want to be stereotyped. I should be able to act in diverse roles. I’ve played a role in Son of Satyamurthy though it’s a small one because I always wanted to act with Bunny. I believe in my acting capabilities. I love playing any role which excites me.

A few words about Aadhi!
This is my first film with Aadhi. He’s a sincere and hard worker. I used to think high of myself for the prep work I do but after working him I’ve realized that he’s far ahead of me. He’s also a good human being.

What are your plans for this Valentine’s Day?
I have no plans for this Valentine’s Day. I’m planning to watch Garam with my mother who’s coming on the 10th of this month.

Tell us about your hobbies!
I love singing. One day, I’ll definitely sing for a film. I can also mimic people. Sometimes I spend my lone time by painting. Apart from these I love reading books and watching movies.

About your future Projects!
I’m acting in a Telugu film, Kshanam. I’m discussing some scripts in Hindi language.
