Renowned director Raviraja Pinisetti’s son, Aadi Pinisetti’s new film ‘Marakatamani’ was produced under combined banners of Rishi media and Sri chakra innovations and directed by A.R.K Saravanan. The film starring Aadi Pinisetti and Nikki garlani in lead roles was released on June 16th and the star shares his joy for the film’s overwhelming response in his own words

How is the film’s response?

Movie is a super hit in Tamil and is receiving a slow but positive response from family audiences and kids in Telugu. When I heard the story, the idea felt fresh and devoid of other movie influences. The story is mostly character based and the director balanced it quite well. If I thought about how the story would help me as a hero and not an audience, the film wouldn’t receive such a good response.

Reason for choosing different types of concepts?

An actor can only be satisfied by experimenting with different genres. So far, I am enjoying my acting career as people are approaching me with offbeat stories. I don't crave for an image, in fact I don't think I have one but audience assume a certain level of action due to my tall build and personality but if I did action films, I won't be able to choose other scripts after 5 years. I did ‘Vaishli’ after ‘Mrugam’ and now ‘Marakatamani’ and there is gonna be no relevance between ‘Sarinodu’ and my upcoming film. This gives me great satisfaction as an actor and the job satisfaction is priceless.

Tell us about your role in ‘Rangasthalam’?

As of now, I cannot reveal if my role in ‘Rangasthalam 1985’ is going to be positive or negative but the movie is very heart touching. I also enjoyed going to the sets of 1985, as it reminded me of our visits to my grandfather’s place.

How is your character going to be in ‘Ninnukori’ ?

‘Ninnukori’ revolves around the lives of Arun, Uma and Pallavi. I play Varun and it's not too cinematic but more of ‘slice of life’ where audience can hopefully relate to the everyday events of one’s life.

Are you accepting every movie that you are offered?

I am only doing films which I genuinely feel are close to my heart. I'm willing to do a solo movie in Telugu if I find a suitable script because I want people to think that I’ve tried something new when they look at my career graph.

What is your father’s role while choosing a script?

I surely take feedback from my father and elder brother before choosing a script but the ultimate decision to make the movie or not is upto me.
