"I was confident because I had a vision" - Prabhakar

Tell us about you first film?

This film is a joint production of four big producers namely Bunny Vaas, Vamsi Pramod, Gnanvel Raja and Allu Arvind. It’s a Tamil remake and the film came out really good.

How did the film work out?

I first approached Shreyas media to cast Allu Srirish as the hero. He liked the script but said it was not in his taste to attempt a horror flick but agreed to produce it. I agreed and narrated the story to Mr.Aravind. He suggested some changes in the second half.

Did you make the suggested changes?

Mr.Aravind himself had assigned a writer to work by my side but I couldn’t find the right tune. I then penned the story on my own and Mr.Aravind granted me full freedom to do so. I narrated it to Mr. Bunny Vaas as well. He too liked the script but asked me to make a Tamil remake.

What was your response?

I was hesitant about a remake of my debut film but changed my mind after watching the film. I made a few changes according to Telugu nativity.

Was everything a cake walk from then?

No. We then had an issue with the film’s rights. Mr.Allu Aravind had asked me to wait for an year and a half and I did.

How did those 18 months pass by?

I was patient that the film will resume and it did. A lot of folks said a lot of things with in these 18 months but I was confident because I had a vision.

How is the film going to be?

The film will have a bit of horror but mostly comedy and thriller. I’m sure everyone will love the film and especially the family audience. I finished the shoot in a single schedule in 37days.

Tell us about the actors?

Aadi was my first choice for the film and he too loved the story as I did. This will be Aadi’s lifetime character and Brahmaji, Rashmi, and Raghu Babu did fine jobs as well

Does this mean goodbye for your T.V.Shows?

No. If any one approached me with an interesting concept they find me fit for, I wouldn’t reject them, I would definitely do it.

What’s your next project?

I’m making a film with Maruthi Productions for which 75% of the shoot is done. My other film would be under Mr.Gnanvel Raj’s production.
