"I played a Journalist" -Shriya Saran

Shriya Saran is currently busy with a handful of projects in Telugu. After Gautami Putra Satakarni, The actress is starring alongside Balayya in Paisa Vasool. The film is releasing tomorrow and the actress spoke about the evolution of Tollywood and other fun bits….

How was working with Puri?

I’ve been waiting to do a film with Mr.Puri since a long time and ‘Paisa Vasool’ finally happened! He is a jovial person on the sets and such a joy to work with

How is your character in the film?

I play a journalist in the film. My role is connected to Tega Singh and Puri had designed it really well. I had loads of fun while playing this character

Isn’t it your second time with Balayya?

It’s quite exciting to work with Mr.Balayya. He is still as energetic as ever.

How do you think Tollywood has evolved in your long career?

The audience is longing for new concepts and Arjun Reddy proves it. Current films in Tollywood are making sure that each character gets a prominent place.

How do you choose a story?

I do films according to the director. If his ideology and portrayal of my character are on point, I don’t care about other details like banner, hero or whatever

Details about your next film?

I’m about to work with a 23-year-old director for a Pshyco Thriller and will be seen in a new light. I’ll reveal more details on this soon.
