“I accept the challenge” - Jr.N.T.R on hosting ‘Big Boss’

Jr.N.T.R’s television debut as a host for ‘Big Boss’ is about to be aired from 16th of this month and the star launched its promo today. The famous Hindi show that’s been hosted by Salman Khan is now entering the Telugu domain. On the occasion, The Star interacted with media.

Why did you choose to do the show?

I’m game for challenges. When Star Maa approached me for hosting Big Boss, I took it up without thinking twice. I am absolutely clueless about hosting a T.V show and still trying to be spontaneous with my hosting. I thank Star Maa for trusting me as a host for India’s biggest reality show and hoping to gain an enormous experience.

Have you seen any Hindi shows before?

No, I haven’t, But one of my cousin sisters introduced me to Big Boss. I have seen a few episodes here and there but I’m sure the whole India loves the show. I avoid watching the Hindi versions so that it doesn’t influence my authenticity.

How well do you think Telugu viewers will accept the show?

The audience is moving along with the changing times, Big Boss will appeal to the sensibilities of Telugu viewers. With the advance of Social Media, all of us now share the public layer and it takes barely any time to learn about one another. It’s only natural to be wanting to learn about others and I think this motive will make Big Boss a big hit.

During what days is the show telecasted?

The show will be aired from Monday to Friday with Exclusive host episode on Saturday and Sunday. Everything regarding the show is going to be a challenge as I don’t know the ABC’s of hosting. The audience’s interest in the show made me want to accept the offer in the first place and this will also add to my acting experience. I act as a bridge between the contestants and Big Boss, so I'm not THE Big Boss himself. I get to meet the contestants only after they come up on the stage, I won’t even know if they left the show!

Big Boss is believed to gain popularity because of you hosting the show. thoughts?

I don’t think I’m the only reason for the buzz, People have voted for the quality of the channel and the show. I feel honored to host the show after Salman Khan in Hindi. I’d like to host the show without any prior preparation and I don’t even elevate any contestants, It is purely decided by the audience vote.I hope the show earns a big success in Telugu as it did in Hindi.

How do you feel about N.T.R’s biopic?

N.T.R’s legacy belongs to every Telugu citizen across the globe.It is interesting to see how it will be pot rayed and Balakrishna playing the lead is a great news!

Would you be acting in the film?

I still haven’t thought about it yet.
