Heroine Mehrene Kaur Interview

Mehrene Kaur has been spotted in the film chamber promoting the film, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. She answered a couple of questions posed by the media personnel. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

About your background!
I was born in Punjab and brought up in New Delhi. Later, I’ve moved to Canada for my graduation. Once I’m done with the education, I’ve flown back to Mumbai to try my luck as an actress in the commercial ads. I’ve done many commercials like Fair & Lovely, Pears etc.

How did you bag this role?
Hanu Raghavapudi sir had noticed me in a TV commercial and contacted me. He asked me to send a few of my photographs. I’ve sent him some natural ones. He liked them and asked me to come for the auditions. He then casted me in the film.

About your role in this film!
I’ve played the character called Maha Lakshmi who’s from Anantapur district. She is a bold girl who values her family a lot. She loves Krishna right from her childhood and marrying him is the only ambition in her life.

How is it working with Nani?
Nani performs in the most natural way. Apart from being a good actor, he’s even got a thing for direction. Prior to signing up this film, I’ve never watched any films of his. Later, I’ve watched Eega, Yevadae Subrahmanyam and Bhale Bhale Magaadivoy. I’ve learnt many things from him.   

Any dream roles?
I’m pretty much looking forward to play the sort of characters which are portrayed by Kangana Ranaut in Queen and Kajal in Dilwaalae Dulhaniya Lejaayengae. Those are my dream roles.

Who’s your favorite actress?
I admire Anushka Shetty a lot. I’ve watched her films, Baahubali, Rudrama Devi and Singam. She’s a kind human being. I’m going to meet her soon.
