“He is my best friend in the industry” - Anupama Parameswaran

Anupama Parameswaran is trending after the latest release of her love/entertainer Vunnadi Okate Zindagi with Ram and director Kishore Tirumala. The actress spoke to the press about her humble background and what she has learned about the industry in the interview below…

How is the response for your character in VOZ?

All my previous directors, my Facebook and Twitter followers have all been showering me with compliments for Maha character and I couldn’t be happier. Maha character is way too different from my character in real life.

How did your career take off?

I’m a middle-class simpleton. None of my parents or other family members are related to films. I was interested in acting and tested my luck in Malayalam. I should really thank the heavens for where I am today.

How did you accept the character?

When the director narrated that my character is going to die, I asked him if he was joking. He somehow convinced me into doing the role and I’m happy that I got such a loud applause.

You believe in the story or the character?

Since content is king, if I like the story, I accept the film but I also consider my character. I am ready to do glamorous roles if the director can convince me to do so.

How was it working with the director and hero?

It was great fun on the sets rather than a story narration while working with the director. Even after my shots are over, I used to help Mr.Kishore and Sameer. It was an amazing experience and I loved working with Ram.

Any best friends in the industry?

I have a lot of friends in the industry. I regularly speak to Sai Pallavi over the phone and hero Sharwanand is my best friend in the industry.

Your next films?

I’m making a film with Nani under Merlapaka Gandhi’s direction and another love story with Sai Dharam Tej under Karunakaran’s direction.
