I Told the Story Who Failed Even They Had Talent- Gowtham Tinnanuri

Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri bagged a massive success with his latest release Jersey starring Natural star Nani and Shraddha Srinadh. The film was released on April 19th, on this occasion director, Gowtham Tinnanuri spoke to media.

Where did you inspire for Jersey?

I did not want to do a film in sports backdrops. Speaking at a press meet in Hyderabad, Harsha Bogle said, "Sachin Tendulkar is the best player. Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest sportsman of all time due to his attitude. I thought that there would be many people who have better talent than Sachin Tendulkar. We usually remember the successful people, but many work hard and do not reach the goal for different reasons. I made the story of the jersey at that time.

Did you expect this response to the movie?

No, I did not think this movie would get this good response because the film is a responsibility. The producer will invest money with the hope of the director. Now the movie was hit, and everyone is enjoying it! I still take time to enjoy it. This is my favorite script in my scripts.

What did you want to say through this movie?

An Underdog Story. The world decides that a man cannot do anything. What kind of effort did he make? The story is all about how he achieved success.

How was Nani Confidence level?

Nani's confidence levels scare me in many cases. I have done this film with all the enthusiasm to do a good movie. By watching the film in the dubbing theater, I was surprised.

What did you do for shooting cricket scenes?

Except for Nani and Vishvantan, all the rest of the team are cricketers. Cricketers are trained for a few days in acting.   Cricket scenes were complicated to shoot. There is also a case where 1-minute episode was shot in one-and-a-half days. 

About the Next Projects?

After writing the story i will analyze the suitable hero for that. I had some stories but i will take gap and start my next movie.
