"Gopi Chand is a real gentleman" - Anu Emmanuel

 After her debut with the film Majnu, Anu Emmanuel is here to stay and her latest action flick Oxygen is closing on the release date. The film is releasing on 17th October and the actress shared her experiences in the personal interview below…

What’s your character in Oxygen?

I played Geetha, a doctor in the film. You have to watch the film to understand my role in the story. Is this your first Telugu film? Yes. While I was shooting for Oxygen, I was offered Majnu with Nani.

Was it hard speaking Telugu on the sets?

Yes. It was very hard in the initial stages but I slowly grasped the language and comfortable now. How did you get the Telugu offer? I acted in a Malayalam action film called Action hero Biju. After watching the film, the directors approached me with offers in Telugu.

How was it working with Gopi Chand?

He is a genuine person and a true gentleman. Despite being a huge star in Tollywood, he was very simple on the sets.

Are you happy with your career?

Yes, I’m happy with where I am now in my career. I’m really lucky to be working with Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun at the same time.

What’s your role in PSPK 25?

I played one of the heroines in the film and a very character-oriented role. There’s a lot of scope for acting in the film I’m looking forward to the release, same as you.

How was director Jyothi Krishna on the sets?

He was so patient with me as he taught me the language and made sure he got the best shots.

What is Oxygen all about?

Its a heavy action film with good emotional quotient as well. I cannot reveal more at the moment.

Are you ok with doing glamour roles?

I feel there’s a huge difference between doing glamour roles and vulgar roles. I’m up for glamour roles any day.
