Gentlemen Screenplay is very different Mohan Krishna Indraganti:

Director Indraganti Mohan Krishna who directed fantastic movies like "Grahanam", "Ashta Chamma’, "Anthaku Mundu Aa Tharvatha" & "Golconda High School" has now recently directed "Gentleman" starring Nani, Niveda Thomas & Surabhi in lead roles.

The movie is recently released and running successfully. On this occasion, Indraganti Mohan Krishna spoke to the reporters.

How is the response for this movie?
I've directed the story written by R.David Nathan. But I’ve changed few aspects of the story to suit the Telugu nativity. Last 10 mins of the movie were like a challenge to show new things & in those last 10 mins, I kept thinking that I shouldn't have any confusion in it and must be easily understood. I have observed the response of the audience in multiplexes and single screens where they're waiting till the titles rolled on for last minute, which made my day. Some people opined that last10 mins of the movie are dull and some say that first half is not well but if one notices keenly there is an inter-link between the scenes from the first scene to last scene.

What is the justification for Gentleman?
The one we think as a villain is not a villain and is instead gentleman and hence the title is chosen I like to name it in Telugu but the options left were ‘Manchivadu’, ‘Utthamudu’ and I felt apt title should be ‘Utthama Villian’ which isn't available.

What is the reason for doing different sensible movies? 
I don’t say they are different movies but any scene must be related to the story. "Grahanam" movie runs seriously and "Mayabazar" is a fantasy film while "Golconda High School" is a different subject. Any movie I do will be a family entertainer within the ambit of censorship.

Was the script written for Nani or is he chosen later?
It was for Nani but he was busy with "Evade Subramanyam" and promised to work if we wait until December. I was unable to decide and approached Sharwanand. He liked the story but he was busy with "Express Raja" movie. So finally I have done a movie with Nani.

How did you select Surabhi & Nivedha Thomas? 
Initially, we have planned with Keerthi Suresh and Nithya Menon that didn't work. Nivedha Thomas acted as Kamal Hasan’s daughter in "Papanasam" movie and in few Tamil movies.  Our Co-director has seen Nivedha Thomas interview in Tamil and suggested her name. Even I felt she would be suitable for the role so finalized her.Regarding decision about Surabhi, one day Nani has shown me a photo of Surabhi in "Beeruva" movie. I felt she is suitable for the role as soon as I looked at that photo. They have acted fantastically for their roles.Nivedha's style helped a lot for the movie.

What are the compliments you have received for Gentleman movie?
People have liked screenplay of the movie and Nani & Nivedha action. Mani Sharma also got good name and compliments for the music which he has worked hard to provide different and new background score. He gave around 60 to 70 tracks and worked with a lot of commitment. I have worked with Vennela Kishore for the first time. Two scenes that were shot with him got deleted in Editing but we want to include these two scenes in DVD and release.

Why is Avasarala Srinivas is seen in a negative role?
The character of Avasarala Srinivas has little negative shade in the movie " Oohalu Gusaguslade". In my opinion psycho villain characters best suits him. After "Ashta Chamma". I'm working with Nani again in this movie and felt that combination of Nani and Avasarala Srinivas would be good.

Have you felt any risk in this story?
I felt many risks in doing this movie. After the failure of movie "Bandipotu", making this movie became difficult. Even for Nani, it was a risk to choose this story after "Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha" movie. Doing this movie with high budget also posed a big risk for the film & for producer Krishna Prasad garu as well who chose this story after a long gap. I'm happy that movie is a big hit.

What kind of reports have you received about the commercial success of this movie?
Usually everyone says that original report will be known only on first Monday after the movie release. The movie was houseful even on Monday so it has passed Monday test also. Also got a huge response from U.S.A. and has become the biggest hit in my career. I'm very happy because the first hit in my career was "Ashta Chamma" in which Nani was a hero and my career's biggest hit is also with Nani. 

What is the reason for not joining with star heroes?
I have fear writing stories that suit the stardom because their fans and their image has to be considered while writing the story. I will definitely do movies if my story and thoughts can reach image of big heroes.

What is your target as a director?
I want my film to be played in International Film Festival. I like novels written by Shakespeare. I want to do a full-length family entertainer movie that features romance and comedy. I have taken copyrights of "Chivaraku Migiledhi" novel written by Buchibabu and also novels written by Kutumba Rao. I want to make movies based on these novels.
