Dora a periodical horror entertainer - Satyaraj

Satyaraj who has acted in almost 200 movies got international fame with his role Kattappa in Bahubhali. He is now acting in a Tamil movie Jackson Dorai which is presented to telugu audience as Dora. Satyaraj son is in the lead role. Producer Jakkam Jawahar babu is presenting it to Telugu audience and has planned to release it on July 1st.

On such occasion Satyaraj answered few questions

Which kind of movie is this?

This is a periodical horror entertainer. Thriller and comedy are mixed in it. It's a fight between English devil and Indian devil. Dharanidharan who has done direction course in America has directed this movie.

What's your role?

I appear as Indian devil named Dorai and English devil is named Jackson. Original Britisher acted in English devil role.

Your son shared screen with you in this!  

My son Shibhiraj also acted in this movie. Horror movies are the latest trend. I was very comfortable in the ghost role as there are no mannerisms for ghosts.

Seems you are occupied in Telugu as well?

Directors from telugu and Tamil are approaching me with different roles. Am proud that scripts are made according to my role.

How's your experience as Kattappa?

After 38 years of experience in industry people forgot my real name and started calling me Kattappa. As an artist Am very happy that my role is remembered more than my name. All the credit goes to Rajamouli who has given me a lifetime role. Worked in almost 220 movies in which 75 movies as villain. After 200 movies I have started working as character artist.No one can guess that character Virus in Snehithudu and Kattappa in Bahubhali is played by same artist. All the credit goes to my directors. Many of my movies are dubbed in telugu like Pasivadi Pranam, Aradhana, Assembly Rowdy, S. P Parusuram, Alludu Garu, Bhrama.

Details of your upcoming movies?

Acted in Chennai express in Hindi. It is difficult to work in different languages at this age but I am very good at prompting which is helping me manage. Acting in Tamil remake of Patas in Sai Kumar's role. Agreed other movie with Ram and Santosh Srinivas for the role of hero's father.
