Rudrama Devi director Guna Sekhar has spoken about the controversy surrounding the Nandi awards

“I’m opposing Maddineni Ramesh’s comment on RGV. RGV is a very honest man and deserves to express his opinion. The abusive language used by Maddineni Ramesh is unacceptable. He not only jokes about others but about himself as well. His opinion should be taken sportively.”

“second, I’ve applied for tax exemption for my film Rudramadevi to both AP and TS state governments. Nobody took up my plea and suddenly asked me to close the case. I’ve met Mr.Ganta Srinivvasa Rao about it and received no response from him as well. I Just wanted my film to have tax exempted just like Gautami putra Satakarni”

“A lot of young directors are calling me up, asking about the possibility of getting an award. They are confused as to, If a director like me couldn’t get an award, then how can they ever expect to get one. I really don’t have an answer for that. I used to respect Mrs. Jeevitha until she raised the slogan ’Telugu desam rocks’, with this, she lost all credibility. Please don’t appoint all film stars as jury members and Don’t exploit artist’s efforts for political gain”
