Dil Raju opts out of Bharateeyudu 2

Renowned successful Tollywood producer Dil Raju, who enjoys a record success rate, spoke to the press on the eve of his 47th birthday. The star producer was supposed to produce the sequel to S. Shankar - Kamal Hassan’s blockbuster film ‘Bharateeyudu’ and the project is now shelved according to Mr.Raju. Though Dil Raju said that he couldn’t squeeze in enough time for such a huge project, he’s opting out of the project, another story says that A.M.Ratnam, the original producer of Bharateyudu who owns the copyright and other legal rights on the subject of the film, has requested a hefty amount as royalty fee.

With having to produce already a huge subject that involved a director and actor who both charge a mammoth paycheck, Dil Raju might have decided to let the deal slide.
