Darsaka Ratna Dasari’s Biopic - A homage to the legendary director

Dasari Narayana Rao was one of the forefathers of modern Telugu Film Industry who changed the course of Telugu cinema during 4 decades of his illustrious career. The director’s biopic might materialize soon as actor/former President of Film Federation Mr.O.Kalyan quoted “It’s unfortunate to lose Dasari garu but it’s just the way of life. We are hoping to preserve his memories through his biopic. We’d like to depict all the highs and lows of his noteworthy life and the film will be directed by one of his apprentices. Dasari Narayana Rao also served in politics as minister of state (Ministry of coal) and was elected to Rajya Sabha. He played a pivotal role in reviving the small film industry and supporting new talents over the years.
