Bellamkonda Srinivas interview

With a successful debut, Alludu Seenu, Bellamkonda Srinivas has earned audiences' attention in no time. For his second film, Speedunnodu, he teamed up with ace director Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao. This film is scheduled to be released on the 5th of February. On this account, Srinivas has met a few media personnel to share his experiences.

Why did you opt for a remake this time?
This is a remake of Sundarapandiyan which was a blockbuster in Tamil Nadu. When I had watched it, I admired it as it's a story related to friendship. Personally, I have many friends just like anyone. That made me believe in the script. Climax is going to be the highlight.

How well do you think the script suits you?
This is a kind of story which suits any actor. I've done it not because it's a remake and free of risk, but because of its unique content. After Alludu Seenu, I've listened to nearly 40 scripts but none of them satisfied me. I've liked this script the very moment when Bhimaneni sir narrated it to me. Now, we are very content after watching the output.

Reason for selecting Tamanna?
We wanted Tamanna as the female lead in this film but later thought that a new face would be more suitable to the story. So, we've landed up on Sonarika. Tamanna is a good friend of mine and a talented dancer, so we wanted her to do the song.

Tell us about your homework for this film?
I've worked my back off for this film. I took special care of my hairstyle, makeup, costumes and expressions.

About your character in this film!
I've played a guy from Kurnool who's energetic. He's a Love guru and also does anything under or over his limits for his friends.

Did your family watch the film?
I made my family and friends watch the film together. Daddy hugged me after watching it and mummy was speechless. My friends were emotionally touched.

How is it working with Bhimaneni sir?
There's always a scope for an actor to learn while working with senior directors. Though he has worked with many stars, he never carries any arrogance with him. He works in a way that every film is his first one. He is one of the passionate directors, I've ever seen. He always keeps looking for better options to entertain the audience.

Vasanth sir has given us marvelous tracks and background score. Each and every technician has worked hard to deliver their best. This film is a result of their diligence.
