Arthana Binu Interview
19 Apr, 2017
Arthana Binu, the female lead of "Seethamma Andhaalu Ramayya Sithraalu" starring opposite to Raj Tarun is spotted in Hyderabad. With the release scheduled for 29th of this month, she's quite busy in promoting the film. This actress of Malayali descent shared some interesting things with a few media personnel.
Where are you from?
I'm from Kerala. I'm pursuing my degree in Journalism.
How did you get the chance in the film?
One of the casting directors happened to see a picture of mine in my friend's profile and approached me. Upon some deliberation, I've arrived in Hyderabad and auditioned and I was selected for the role.
Can you brief about your role?
I'm playing a character called Sita in this film. Though the name is conventional, Sita is a modern girl. Unlike the Clichéd female roles which are restricted to a few scenes and songs, this character is of sheer prominence and the whole story spins around it. This made me sign the film.
Did you feel language a barrier?
To be honest, yes! Telugu was completely a new language to me. Prior to signing this film, I've never watched a Telugu movie. For the past few months, I've been watching the ones which are dubbed to Malayalam. Initially, it was really tough but as an actress, it's very important for me to be comfortable with the language. Now, I'm able to grasp some and trying to speak a bit.
What is your opinion about Raj Tarun?
Raj is a natural actor. He came to the aid of me during the shoot. He helped me with the dialogues and expressions. Now, he's a good friend of mine. I can never forget his support.
Any plans to do glamorous roles in future?
First, I should love the character to sign up. I should feel contented playing the role. The audience expects a heroine to be beautiful but it doesn't mean that skin show is a prerequisite. Glamorous roles are not really my cup of tea.
A word about the director?
Director Srinivas is a man of many talents. Patience is his forte. He has a knack of extracting the performance from an actor. Furthermore, he's a really good narrator. I'm sure no sooner, he'll be one of the top directors in the industry.
Can you describe movie?
It's a kind of movie which a family can enjoy without any inhibitions. It's a story set in a village around two characters called Ramu and Sita. What all Ramu does to get Sita married to him is the story all about.
What are your future projects?
I've acted in a Malayalam movie which is all set to release in February. At this moment, I'm not committed to any other movie.
Answering all the questions, she ended the interview with a clean smile.
