“Anushka is my role model” - Rashika Dutt

Another Kannada beauty is about to make her Tollywood debut. Rashika Dutt, a runner-up in the Miss Rajasthan contest is currently playing a female lead in the film. Rashika holds a degree in fashion and spoke to the press about her aspirations…

“I was born and brought up in Bengaluru and did my schooling there and graduated in Rajasthan. I then participated in Miss Rajasthan competitions and was the runner-up. I then moved to Mumbai and trained in acting at Rang Rasia theatre arts. During this time, I’ve done a few ads which lead me to act in Hindi soaps. After my role in ‘Twist wala love’ and a few ads in the south, I was approached by a few South Indian producers. Since I wanted to act in the south, I’ve accepted the offers. I’ve got a huge offer initially but I had to reject it as I was studying at the time. I admire Anushka as an actress and want to acquire such an image. I’m familiar with Hyderabad and have a lot of friends here. I’m learning Telugu with the help of a tutor and have been binge-watching a lot of Telugu films. I’ve become a fan of Nani after watching MCA and also liked Rana’s Nene Raju Nene Mantri. I’m only looking to do big films now and been discussing a script for a film with a big hero.”
