A new kind of horror story - Anando Brahma

Coming out as a horror - comedy entertainer, Anando Brahma is awaited by fans after an intriguing first trailer. Director Mahi.V.Raghav shared his views on taking a break other interesting stuff in the interview as follows

Hasn’t it been a while since ‘Pathasala’ came out?

In my attempt to make strong concept based films, I took a while to come up with the script. Also, Due to lack of artist’s availability, the gap was prolonged. I personally don’t believe in angels or demons but when I sat down to write a horror story, This idea struck me. I wanted to reverse engineer the current trend of horror films, so I place the spirits at the mercy of humans. Every character in this film struggles with a health issue and this added to the humor in the film.

How pivotal is Tapsee's character in the film?

Tapsee played the key role in the film. We finalized the story during our first sitting itself. It was very kind of her to take time out of her schedule to do the film. I think it’s better to watch Tapsee’s character on screen rather than me telling it.

How are the production values?

Producer Vijay is well aware of the film making process and has his fair share in the film’s quality. He never compromised on the film’s budget and made sure we achieved a fine quality.

What are the highlights of the film?

The sound is the key to a good horror film and we spent a considerable time crafting it. The film will have situational comedy and pretty intense emotional scenes as well.
