Vajra Kavachadhara Govindha

Vajra Kavachadhara Govinda is a film that tries too hard to establish its lead character and actor both as some kind of ‘hero’. 

While the first half of the film takes its own sweet time to set up the characters, it also attempts to bring some semblance of sense and structure to the story it’s trying to tell. 

Give this one a skip this weekend unless random, meandering dramas are your thing. Because what you’re promised is an exciting treasure hunt and what you get is pretentious melodrama. 

Saptagiri does a good role in the film. His comedy timing is good and Saptagiri does well in scenes related to finding the treasure. His body language suits the script and he carried the film on his shoulders. 

The second half gets messy as there is no direction in the narration and way too many characters are introduced one by one. 

On the whole, Vajra Kavachadara Govinda is commercial drama which does not have much going its way.
