Ungarala Rambabu

Sunil tries very hard to entertain in his badly written role and does his best to make things lively. Prakash Raj is a sincere actor and does his job well. The comedy generated by Posani as Badam Baba clicks here and there.

Ungarala Ram Babu is one film which leaves you irritated to no extent. Clearly, the times have changed and such silly stuff does not work anymore in Tollywood.

Sunil as Rambabu in the film has done his role in a usual manner, there is less acting, more dances.Heroine Miya George looks more like a side actress in a big film than a movie's lead actress. Vennela Kishore as Lenin Sudhakar is okay. On the whole, "Ungarala Rambabu" neither satisfies Sunil's fans nor impresses audiences who seek sensible movies. Na ghar ka na ghat ka kind of situation.

‘ఉంగరాల రాంబాబు’లో చాలా లోపాలు కనిపిస్తాయి. ఆరంభంలోనే ట్రాక్ తప్పే ఈ సినిమా ఏ దశలోనూ పుంజుకోదు. ఆద్యంతం అదే ‘నిలకడ’తో సాగిపోతుంది. సునీల్ గత సినిమాలతో పోలిస్తే హీరోయిజం తగ్గించడం ఓకే కానీ.. తన నుంచి ఆశించే వినోదమైతే ‘ఉంగరాల రాంబాబు’లో ఎంతమాత్రం లేదు. కొత్త హీరోయిన్ మియా జార్జ్ గురించి చెప్పడానికేం లేదు. అందం విషయంలో కానీ.. నటన విషయంలో కానీ ఆమె ఏమాత్రం ఆకట్టుకోదు. ఆమె పాత్ర కూడా ఎంతమాత్రం ఆసక్తి రేకెత్తించదు. అన్ని రకాలుగానూ తీవ్ర నిరాశకు గురి చేసే సినిమాను అందించాడు క్రాంతి మాధవ్.

Oh My Rambabu! : Sunil has put on a bit of weight and is currently looking more like the comedy actor we all loved. He tried his best to give some laughable moments, but the poor script bogged him down big time. Mia George is a very average looking actress who doesn't know to act. First half of the film is literally unbearable starting from Rambabu's childhood scenes to Badam Baba episodes. Actual story begins in the second half. Director Kranthi Madhav took a messy route to narrate this story. Nothing makes sense until the actual plot is revealed. Sunil hoped that Ungarala Rambabu will give him better results than his recent films, but it ended up as a bigger dud than them.
