The Lion King

అడవికి రారాజుగా అలాగే ఓ గొప్ప రాజుగా పిలవబడే సింహం (ముఫార్ ) తన తరువాత తన రాజ్యానికి తన ‘కొడుకు సింహం’ (సింబా) రాజు అవ్వాలని బలంగా కోరుకుంటాడు. చిన్నప్పటి నుండి సింబాకి ఒక రాజు ఎలా ఉండాలో చెప్తూ పెంచుతాడు.

ఈ సినిమా చూస్తున్నంత సేపు ప్రేక్షకులకు ఆ అడవి రాజ్యంలోకి వెళ్లి ఆ లోకంలో విహరిస్తున్న ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. పైగా అద్భుతమైన విజువల్స్ తో పాటు భారీ సాంకేతిక విలువలతో తెరకెక్కించబడటమే ఈ సినిమా ప్రధాన బలం.

ఎమోషనల్ గా సాగే రివేంజ్ స్టోరీతో సినిమా ఆకట్టుకున్నా.. కథ పరంగా ఎలాంటి కొత్తధనం లేదు. అలాగే ఫస్టాఫ్ ను ఆసక్తికరమైన విజువల్స్ తో అక్కడక్కడ కాస్త కామెడీగా నడిపినా.. స్లోగా సాగే సీన్స్ తో కొన్నిచోట్ల స్క్రీన్ ప్లే ను నెమ్మదిగా నడిపారు. 

To say this live-action film is a computer-animated remake of 1994’s animated classic doesn’t quite justify its visual impact. The technical advancement in computer animation is on full display here, and it’s genuinely staggering to experience. 

This is where things get really tricky, despite having an immensely talented voice cast. 

But there's only so much mileage you can get on nostalgia. ‘The Lion King’ is a shot-by-shot, track-by-track remake which highlights the challenge with the onslaught of live-action re-creations.
