Soggade Chinni Nayana

Soggade Chinni Nayana is a family story with a fantasy element. Plus points are Nagarjuna’s terrific performance for two characters, Bangarraju’s entertainment and village backdrop. On the flipside, the screenplay should have been interesting. Bangarraju character, family orientation (though Bangarraju’s character is flirtatious) and sentiment might work in favor of Soggade Chinni Nayana.

Perfect Festive Watch

The first half is breezy and goes smoothly with simple narration. The second half turns a bit serious and also goes here and there in between but comes back on track before the penultimate sequences come in. All in all, the movie is perfect watch for Sankranthi festive time. Despite weak second half, it still entertains.

The first half is racy & its Bangaruraju's show all the way. Whereas, The actual story begins in the Second Half and that's when Bangaruraju decides to fulfill his second task. 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' is a perfect family entertainer for Sankranthi. It has got something for everyone & the role of Bangaruraju is worth every penny one spends…!

Whenever Nagarjuna has done entertaining roles, films have always clicked. Same is the case with Soggade Chinni Nayana which is a complete family entertainer. Barring the slow pace during the second half, this film ends up as an enjoyable watch for every section of the audience this Sankranthi season.

It is a simple commercial film that offers some variety kind of entertainment to the festival audience. This is a no nonsense film that sticks to the theme. Rural backdrop will appeal to the B and C centers audience rather than the urban crowds.

The film is full of good moments and fun, with lighter vein comedy that happens in a healthy way. Not much of village culture is also shown, but surely that tinge of greenery could be felt. The film will be patronised by majority of family audiences for its pure and clean look. Among all the Sankranthi releases, Nagarjuna's film offers that real festival treat of entertainment.

It was good to see a big star film set in a village backdrop after a long time packaged in what we usually call as a ‘family entertainer’. To sum it up, the movie’s asset is Nagarjuna-Ramya Krishnan’s incredible chemistry which will almost make it up for the rest of the mess.
