Seven Movie

The first scene of Seven is as intriguing as its title – where Ramya (Nandita Swetha), drenched in rain, goes to a police station to file a complaint against her missing husband Karthik (Koneru Havish). 

The plot looks interesting on paper, and seems to have ample elements for an engaging thriller. But the weak screenplay, numerous logical loopholes and the lack of believability factor make it unappealing. 

Cinematography is a positive factor in the film, which had elements of thrill, romance and revenge not served in the right proportion. Regina plays her part well, while others are okay.

One woman after other comes to a police station and registers a complaint regarding missing husband. It turns out the man in question is same guy Karthik (Havish) across all cases. 

Havish’s central character performance is the movies’ the biggest weak link. Giving expression is not as easy as growing hair, which is the only thing the actor has in abundance. It is a chore to sit through the proceedings whenever Havish is onscreen.

Nizar Shafi, a famous cinematographer, makes his directorial debut with Seven. It is a different attempt in that the routine-story is presented in a thriller format with multiple twists in the narrative.

 

సినిమాలో స్టోరీ పాయింట్ చాలా బాగుంది. పైగా రొటీన్ సినిమాలకు భిన్నంగా ఈ సినిమాని మలచాలని దర్శకనిర్మాతలు మంచి ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. 

అయితే దర్శకరచయితలు థీమ్, పాత్రల పరంగా మంచి పనితీరుని కనబర్చినప్పటికీ.. కథ కథనం విషయంలో మాత్రం విఫలం అయ్యారు. పైగా సెకెండ్ హాఫ్ బాగా స్లోగా సాగడం కూడా సినిమా ఫలితాన్ని దెబ్బ తీసింది.

హవిష్, రెజీనా – నందితా శ్వేతా హీరో హీరోయిన్స్ గా ప్రముఖ కెమెరా మేన్ నిజార్ షఫీ దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన ఈ రొమాంటిక్ సస్పెన్స్ డ్రామా ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయింది. అయితే రొటీన్ సినిమాలకు భిన్నంగా ఈ సినిమాని మలచాలని దర్శకనిర్మాతలు బాగానే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు.
