Undoubtedly, Sarileru Neekevvaru is Mahesh Babu’s show all the way. The star hero is just magnanimous in his role which has different variations. Mahesh has showcased mass, class and action avatars in a superb way and will please his fans in a big way.

The storyline of the film is the weakest link as it does not provide any novelty. Also, there are not many twists and turns which makes the proceedings predictable.

On the whole, Sarileru Neekevvaru is a well-packaged Sankranthi treat that has good entertainment narrated at regular intervals. The film is Mahesh Babu’s one-man show and the added advantage are the hit songs, mass fights, and good comedy.

Sarileru Neekevvaru is a commercial entertainer which sticks to the box-office fundamentals. Young director Anil Ravipudi, in this 160 minutes film, never pretends to looking for the critical acclaim as such.

First half starts off with establishing Vijayasanthi’s story, followed by Mahesh Babu’s entry as Army major. Kashmir episodes are neatly done in original locations, the kids rescue episode came out well.

Sarileru Neekevvaru is an engaging commercial entertainer, and Mahesh Babu excelled in it. Director Anil Ravipudi presented Mahesh Babu in a never before mass avatar which will make fans go berserk for sure.

Mahesh Babu has played the role of Major Ajay in his latest movie Sarileru Neekevvaru. Ajay may be a trained soldier, but he’s a quintessential fan of Telugu cinema at heart.

The actual story is set in Kurnool in Rayalaseema region, which has been an inspiration for numerous violent Telugu films for decades now.

Sarileru Neekevvaru is all about man, masculinity and manhood. Anil Ravipudi unapologetically establishes that being aggressive is the key quality of a “complete man.”

t’s been quite a while since Mahesh Babu had ultimate fun in a film. For the last couple of years, he is seen playing similar roles with minor variations.

Director Anil Ravipudi’s Sarileru Neekevvaru was promised to be a proper family entertainer. While he made his hero mouth dialogues about respecting women, he almost forgot to implement it in his writing.

It is heartening to see Mahesh Babu spring to life in Sarileru Neekevvaru, after so many years. He is the saving grace of this colossal mess.

With Sarileru Neekevvaru, Anil Ravipudi brings back the old Mahesh Babu, someone who played cocky characters that fought, danced, saved the day and delivered speeches seeped in morality.

The good part about Sarileru Neekevvaru is that it never takes itself too seriously. What’s also good is that despite the paper-thin story Anil builds on, he does not veer in a direction you would expect the story to take.

Sarileru Neekevvaru definitely has its moments but Anil Ravipudi’s bloated narrative that tries too hard, not to mention do everything at once without a proper structure in place proves to be a major drawback.

Mahesh Babu who is known for subtle performance has come up with a hyper act. This is a typical mass role and he’s given his best. His comedy timing is excellent, his dances in ‘Mind Block’ are also a feast to his fans.

Although the film was completed in just five and a half months, the production values are rich and the canvas is big. The art direction by AS Prakash is terrific.

Twenty minutes into the film, one thing that comes to our mind that director Anil Ravipud is playing a safe game.

Mahesh Babu's impeccable performance is one of the major driving factors behind the film. The actor has carried the entire movie on his shoulders and the way he has portrayed his character is too good.

When compared to its previous movies, Anil Ravipudi has not only focused on the entertainment but also concentrated on the story for this film. He has succeeded in narrating the story in an engaging way without adding unnecessary scenes.

The movie will be like an eye feast for the audience who have been waiting to see Mahesh Babu in a complete entertaining role. After Dookudu, Mahesh Babu got an interesting and refreshing role in this movie.

Overall, “Sarileru Neekevvaru” is a mixed bag, where Mahesh Babu excels in his mass appeal but the rest is quite old-fashioned and routine.
