Raja The Great

Ravi Teja as a guy with no eyesight has given a good performance. Apart from the fact that he is blind, the role is not at all passive. All in all, director Anil Ravipudi has dished out another template masala movie with the sole novelty of the protagonist being blind and Ravi Teja is entertaining but it ends up as quite a predictable fare.

ప్రథమార్ధంలో రయ్యిన దూసుకెళ్లే ‘రాజా ది గ్రేట్’కు ద్వితీయార్ధంలో బ్రేకులు పడిపోతాయి. సెకండాఫ్ లో చెప్పుకోవడానికి కథ కానీ.. చెప్పుకోదగ్గ మలుపులు కానీ ఏమీ లేవు. కామెడీ కొంచెం వర్కవుటైనా.. కథ పెద్దగా ముందుకు కదలదు.‘రాజా ది గ్రేట్’ చూశాక మాస్ రాజా ఈజ్ బ్యాక్ అనకుండా ఉండలేం. 

మధ్యలో గ్యాప్ వచ్చినా.. చేస్తున్నది అంధుడి పాత్ర అయినా రవితేజ ఊపేమీ తగ్గలేదు.రాధిక చిన్న పాత్రలోనే బాగా చేసింది. విలన్ వివేన భాటేనా తెలుగు సినిమాల్లో మనకు అలవాటైన విలన్ పాత్రలో పర్వాలేదనిపించాడు. కథ విషయంలో మాత్రం ఏ కొత్తదనం చూపించలేకపోయాడు. ద్వితీయార్ధాన్ని ఇంకొంత మెరుగ్గా తీర్చిదిద్దుకోవాల్సింది. ఓవరాల్ గా అయితే అనిల్ కు మంచి మార్కులే పడతాయి.

It’s a tailor-made character for Ravi Teja. He applied the body language of visually challenged man very well.Songs scored by Sai Karthik are average. Background music is partly good. Ravi Teja has created a trend in comedy for himself.

Anil Ravipudi has been catering to masses with entertainment orientation in films. story is routine and second half is slow (the oft-repeated Telugu film concept of hero coming to heroine’s place) and climax appear dragged. On a whole, if you are looking for a Ravi Teja’s trademark comedy, Raja The Great is for you!

One of the biggest plus points of the film is non stop entertainment. Credit should go to director Anil Ravipudi for adding enough fun at regular intervals making the film quite entertaining.

On the whole, Raja The Great is a typical mass masala entertainer which you expect from a star hero like Ravi Teja.If you ignore the routine story and a slightly dragged second half, this film ends up as a entertaining watch with your entire family this Diwali.

Ravi Teja as Raja the Great is superb and he excelled in the role of a blind guy who is well trained to live as a normal guy without any defects.

Raja the Great is the story of a blind guy who is well trained in all the aspects and who is so loved by his mother who left Raja’s father who insulted Raja as he is blind. To sum up, Raja the Great is a disappointment from Ravi Teja and could have been a much better movie if the director has focussed on script.
