Faithful Remake!

The story has fallen drastically after the Shruti’s episode comes to an end. The final scenes are completely commercialized to satisfy Nagarjuna/Naga Chaitanya’s fans. I he had shown the third episode more interestingly, the movie would have been a better one. On the whole, it turns out to be satisfying watch.

Love in it’s purest form

I haven’t seen the original Malayalam film (on purpose as it was going to be remade in Telugu). Hence my view will vary from the people who have seen the original. Plus points of the film are casting (especially Naga Chaitanya), beautiful moments and realistic approach by director. On the flipside, there are a few dull moments in second half due to a few forced comedy elements (Sathya teaching dancing etc). On a whole, Premam is a film of moments that explores love in it’s purest/idealistic perspective. You may watch it!

Highly Recommended!

Audience doesn't get a feeling of watching a movie but the life journey of a Youth named Vikram. They could relate themselves to the scenes which were natural and so close to the reality. There is no scope for melodrama or formulaic sequences in the movie. Overall, 'Premam' o offers a beautiful experience & be prepared to fall in love once again.

Premam – Beautiful tale of love

One the whole, Premam will undoubtedly be the film that will take Naga Chaitanya to the next level as a star. He surprises you with his standout performance and is the sole reason to watch Premam. Romantic songs, entertaining narration and a feel-good nature of the script will surely be loved by the audience big time. If you stop drawing comparisons from the original and go with an open mind, Premam is one romantic entertainer which will keep you hooked throughout and makes up for a good watch this festival season.

Go... fall in love, Again

Premam will appeal to the urban audience for its sophisticated style of storytelling and feel good nature. B and C centers may find it too slow for their tastes. Premam is not blockbuster material but has the goods and good moments to be a winner. There is a lot of competition during the Dasara season, but Premam shouldn't have any problem as it is entirely different from other films and will have its audience.

Faithful remake, thankfully hilarious

A fairly entertaining rom-com. Musically and lyrically superb. One of the career best performances by Chaitanya. Comedy wins. A happy festival watch.

One of the best films in Naga Chaitanya’s career

The visuals and the songs were good. Camera played an important role in showing the film as a visual feast. Second half should have been trimmed by the director as it feels a bit lengthy. The audience who already watched the Malayalam version will not be able to experience the same.

Naga Chaitanya Dominates in the Movie

Obviously when remaking a most talked and seen movie requires a lot of hard work and homework. It is not easy to get the originality to the remade versions. Many trolls comes up in social media from the lovers of original movie. Premam is no exception for this and it already had seen many memes trolling the team on social media. The team had put in a lot of hardwork in making this workout well in all the ways possible. Comparison of it with the original one is wrong but it copes up without reason. Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Director Chandoo Mondeti and team made this Premam in their own set of limitations and boundaries of nativity. They are successful mostly when we don’t compare it with the original one but a let down when we see it comparing to the original Premam. To sum up, this Premam is not for the original Premam lovers.

It’s Naga Chaitanya all the way!

In all, Premam is a good remake and the director has done a good job. Naga Chaitanya’s matured performance is definitely the highlight of the film.

Naga Chaitanya pumps up flavour, can’t match up to original

If you have watched the Malayalam version, this one will make you a little nostalgic and a little wistful. Especially, after listening to the similar background score and a few songs with same beats.

Film has hit the theatres

Remakes aren’t easy… Especially when hit films are involved. Expectations, apprehensions and criticism notwithstanding, comparison is bound to creep in at every juncture. Well, it’s no wonder then that Premam has gone through all this even before the release. But now that the film has hit the theatres, one thing is for sure, all the detractors will think twice and think hard.
