Dedicated to Devotees

The way movie is shot richly with perfect graphics has worked out in its favour in the second half. While there are many scenes that are trademark of old-style narrative but the overall feeling towards the end is positive.Unlike "Annamayya" and "Sriramadasu", this movie has no great music. Only two songs - "Akhilanda Brahmanda" and Anushka's introduction song are of worth mentioning. "Om Namo Venkateshaya" has told the story of Hathi Rama Baba with some fine moments, good visuals, and better second half. If you are devotionally-inclined, you would like it.

Story of Hathiram Bhavaji

Om Namo Venkatesaya is based on the story of Hathiram Bhavaji. With little information available about Bhavaji, the writer had to fill most of the movie with informative episodes about history of Tirumala and Lord Venkateswara. Plus points of the film are Nagarjuna’s flawless work, music and pre-climax episode. On the flipside, we expect an interesting screenplay and dramatic impact for such kind of devotional films. We need to wait and see how it works at box office.

Nag-KRR weaves magic once again!

Lack of Emotional Depth on par with 'Annamayya' and 'Sri Ramadasu' is the biggest drawback in 'Om Namo Venkatesaya'. Still, K Raghavendra Rao who have immense command on the visual medium makes the film worth a watch. He extracted the best output from each of his Team Members. Particularly, The face-to-face interactions of Hathi Ram Baba with Lord Venkateswara Swamy were picturized effectively. Locations, Settings and Visual Effects were appreciable. While the First Half appears quite ordinary, It's the Second Half which really involves the audience into the film. Audience will step out of the theaters with a divine feeling after watch the brilliantly executed Climax.

Enlightening Devotional Drama

When devotional films are considered to be a huge risk in today’s day and age, Nagarjuna and Raghavendra Rao take us on an emotional story of an ardent devotee in a simple yet entertaining manner. Nagarjuna gives an award winning performance as Hathi Ram Baba and holds the film completely. Breezy narration, good performances, and feel good scenes give this film a sacred feeling altogether. If you ignore the predictable story line of what happens in all devotional films, On Namo Venkatesaya is a film which will be loved the family audience.

Annamayya Team does it again

Om Namo Venkatesaya turns out to be a surprise package with decent enough story and arresting screenplay. Keeravani's musical score, Nagarjuna's performance and Raghavendra Rao's arresting narration makes Om Namo Venkatesaya worth a watch. It has high chances to click at the box office as there is absolutely nothing that goes against it.

Those highs of a devotional

A proper Tirumala devotional. Artistically, it's much better than 'Shirdi Sai'. Nagarjuna is a super-mature actor who emotes with his eyes. Saurabh and Anushka complement him. Fairly engaging writing from Bharavi, although some stock elements could have been given a miss for good.

Less Reality, More Fiction

Om Namo Venkatesaya is an okay film with less drama and emotions. Families may like the movie, if they watch it with fewer expectations. The movie has done exceptional pre-release business and seems like it is tough to recover the investments for distributors!

Nagarjuna and KRR’s Combo Never Disappoint

Nagarjuna Akkineni and Raghavendra Rao’s combination is the best in terms of making devotional movies surpassing each and every hurdle and expectations with every movie. This movie Om Namo Venkatesaya is nothing short of their previous movies with the perfect casting as main plus point. Jagapathi Babu and Anushka Shetty’s part seemed to be diverted out of the story. Director Raghavendra Rao is unbeatable in terms of making devotional movies in entertaining way. The way he runs the movie with engaging screenplay is his huge addition. He got the best performances from his actors and made this movie full of emotions. Attempting these movie in these days where youth is not interested in watching devotional movies is brave attempt. To sum up, the combo of Raghavendra Rao and Nagarjuna Akkineni never disappoints.
