Not Engaging Enough!
Inspite of having few edge-of-the-seat thrilling scenes, 'Okka Ammayi Thappa' fails to keep the viewers engaged just because of poor Screenplay. The mind game between Hero-Villain isn't something we haven't seen before. Unnecessary Comedy Tracks deviate the audience from the actual story.

Different Attempt
Okka Ammayi Tappa is a film which falls in no man’s land. The film which could have been a very good experience is bogged down by some mediocre and out dated narration. If you manage to keep your expectations in check and sit through the sloppy first half, you will end up liking the film, for its unique story and interesting last half an hour.

Okka Ammayi Thappa has an intriguing setup. Almost three quarters of the film runs on a flyover, which is first of its kind in Telugu cinema. Mind games, blackmailing, & heroism
On balance, the script has highs and lows, while the premise may not excite many. The execution should have fared better. Rajasimha's scripting may work well with sections of the audience. The jury is still out.

Once watchable
The terrorist plot, people getting struck on the fly-over etc. are well executed. Sundeep and Nithya make a good pair, but the story loses its sense where there is no deep love track in between the pair in the childhood. Once watchable as the plot is narrated well.

Stuck In A Traffic Jam
Although the second half is relatively better than the first half, the movie doesn't hold interest. To be fair, some scenes in the second half are good. But in totality the film is a big bore. There is no seriousness in the theme. All in all, "Okka Ammayi Tappa" is badly made movie based on a idea from an Hollywood hit.
