The initial set-up of NOTA is pretty similar to the one in Bharat Ane Nenu, where the reluctant son of a chief minister has to take over the mantle from his father.

The political scenes, some of which recall Mudhalvan, are the film’s strengths; in fact, its only strengths.

If NOTA works to the extent it does, it is because it unfolds like the highlights reel of the absurd political happenings that Tamil Nadu has been witnessing over the past two to three years.

Accepting full pledged politician role is a bold step by Vijay Deverakonda. Had he chosen a gripping subject, it would have helped him to reach wider audience out of his forte youth segment.

Attempting a serious political drama with a young and urbane image hero needs substantial depth in story.

NOTA is a forgettable political drama with no noteworthy moments at any phase. It offers some relatable elements for Tamil audience, but for Telugu states no such saving grace.

Vijay Devarakonda is the biggest asset of the film as his sincere performance is the one which gives freshness to this political thriller.

Vijay’s fans will be disappointed a bit as the needed elevation and heroism they expect from their star hero is missing in this film.

On the whole, NOTA is a routine political drama which the Telugu audience have seen many a time.

Vijay Deverakonda as CM and reckless youth is superb. He nails in his two different shades of his role. Nassar is nice in his role as father and CM who is well versed in the wits and political games.

Songs composed by Sam CS are not so catchy as we expected and they sound more like songs of dubbed movie than a bilingual.

NOTA is a political game between a good guy who want to do good to people and a corrupt leader but within the same family.

Vijay Deverakonda is definitely a show stealer for the film. His character is the one which creates an impact on the audience and Vijay actually gave life to his character with his wonderful acting.

The production values by  K.E. Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green are lavish. It is evident that they haven't compromised in terms of budget.

The story by Shan Karupusaamy is amazing. Director Anand Shankar could not execute the story well.

Vijay Devarakonda challenged himself by attempting a role which is nowhere close to what he did so far.

None of the Songs in 'NOTA' leave an impact but the Background Score by Saam CS is pretty good.

For any political thriller, Story & Screenplay are utmost important. Sadly, 'NOTA' disappoints in these aspects.
