Being Saikumar's son, it is understandable that too much might be expected of Aadi as an actor. Unfortunately, he just doesn't seem to shine in this one, which his face refusing to emote.

'Next Nuvve' that calls itself a horror comedy has neither horror nor comedy unless you count outdated, horrible looking CGI ghosts and double entendre jokes filled with sleaze. The film doesn't have anything resembling a story either, with the screenplay filled with plot-holes so big, one could drive a truck through them.

Next Nuvve is not a winner for the debut of Prabhakar.

Aadi Saikumar is good as a tv serial director as well as the owner of the hotel. He has improved a lot in terms of expressions in this movie. Vaibhavi as girlfriend of Aadi is good in terms of performance and looks classy. The story of Next Nuvve is simple and routine. Screenplay is so mediocre and doesn’t engage audience every time. If Prabhakar has concentrated more on script rather than routine comedy scenes, this film would have been something.

This movie doesn’t live up to the hype created by the trailer and promotions. To sum up, Next Nuvve is not a winner for the debut of Prabhakar.

Comedy dominates horror

Hero Aadhi Saikumar’s performance is decent in parts. Heroine Vaibhavi did an okay job as hero’s girlfriend and her performance in horror scenes is pretty decent. One of the major minus points of the film is it’s weak and abrupt storyline. Prabhakar, who debuted as a director with this film has failed in narrating the film quite engagingly.

Director Prabhakar, who has chosen a horror comedy genre as his debut film has done a below average job with his execution. On the whole, Next Nuvve is yet another routine horror comedy which falls short of expectations.

Tammy (Tamannaah), brought up by a single parent (Sarath Babu), experiences heartbreak when she’s 16 and decides she ‘hates boys’.

Tamannaah’s character Tammy goes on and on about what dogs men are, despite being brought up by a first-rate man, that it gets real tiring real fast.

Proceed with caution if you have time to kill and would love to make sense of a nonsensical narrative, because why not? Give this one a miss if you would like to preserve your sanity. Sorry Kunal Kohli, better luck next time!

Sundeep Kishan plays a sophisticated urban guy in Next Enti. Right from the first scene, we know he is acting and it shows on screen. The effort is visible which brings the impact down.

Director Kunal Kohli believes in old-school values and romance which is evident in his past films.

Overall, Next Enti is a big bore due to the lack of any genuine surprise or showcasing anything insightful. The dull lead pair makes matter worse.
