Although this film got craze due to Priya's wink act, she gets less footage. Priya Prakash has beauty, has expressive eyes but she proves nothing with this film in terms of acting. She is just okay.

Shaan Rahman's music has already become quite popular and the songs are good on screen as well.

We don't know what the original story of this movie was when director Omar Lulu made it last year. The wink act of Priya Prakash in a song clip went viral and she became a star overnight.

The film lives up to its self-described image of a campus story.  With so many jovial as well as tender scenes happening everywhere on the campus, it's a backdrop that presents its own set of advantages.

The story takes its sweet time to reach an inflection point.  By then, the audience comes to the conclusion that this is a kosher Mollywood film that plays by its own rules.  Had the 'wink video' not become a national sensation, 'Lovers Day' wouldn't have been there in Telugu.

'Lovers Day' comes with a slow pace.  Its story is OK but the scenes go for a toss.  The execution falters.  Lack of nativity is a big dampener.

Lover’s Day is entirely set in Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, where Priya (Priya Prakash Varrier) and Roshan (Roshan Abdul Rahoof) join as plus one students.

The major highlight of Lover’s Day is Noorin Shereef, the curly haired girl who plays Gatha John, Roshan’s best friend. She breathes energy into the otherwise mundane story with her bubbly acting and beautiful looks.

Lover’s Day has a heavy hangover of Happy Days and other movies of the similar genre. However, there is hardly a gripping story or fun moments to keep the dejavu feeling away. A major part of the narrative wanders aimlessly.
