Brave Attempt
First half of the film is nice with a good narration and an interesting screenplay. We expect the proceedings in second half to intensify as the climax progresses. The latter part of second half appears hurried up and is devoid of emotion. Director Krish should be appreciated for a brave attempt and for narrating a love story with WWII backdrop. On whole, Kanche is brave film with good technical values.

Kanche – Pushes the boundaries
A realistic back drop, gripping visuals and stunning performance by Varun Tej are major assets. Barring the slow narration, Kanche is a film which is devoid of masala entertainment and should be given a shot for its daring and different attempt.

A Good Attempt But Fails To Push The Boundaries
Kanche may not be a perfect film but it is definitely worth a watch for its sincerity and the dedication of the filmmakers to do something against the tide. It is a genuine film that never deviates from the theme. Hope Kanche does well despite the shortcomings so that many others would be inspired to make such honest films rather playing it safe.

Kanche, watch it for society!!
In first half, there is a scene where a girl saves Indian (British Empire) soldiers from Germans and it gives goose bumps. Similarly in second half, there are couple of good scenes like marriage in village, hero's confrontation with heroine's sister and that 'caste dialogue' gives a high. Amidst those regular masala comedy movies our industry makes, this is definitely a rare gem.

Impact doesn’t live up to the intent
The biggest drawback of the film is the pace of the film. Although its 2 hours, it seems like a 3 hour film married with horribly boring songs. The war thread goes monotonous after the first hour. Thankfully, some great lines in between and Srinivas Avasarala’s humour try to keep it alive till the end. The most disappointing was the impact-less climax.

War Is All About Love
This is quite a different story, never attempted on Telugu screen, for sure. Sticking true to the story, Krish narrates the movie in serious manner, not including any necessary tracks. First half of the movie is more focused on war and the setting up of love story between Varun and Pragya. Post interval, it is about conflict and the fight for his love and as well as saving a little girl in Italy. All in all, Krish has once again come up with a different movie with novel storyline. It appeals the film lovers and class audiences only.
