Stale Guntur Mirchi!

The movie doesn't have an iota for newness in treatment or narration. While the first half tests the patience, the second half turns into bore fest. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi's voice doesn't help much. Rajendra Prasad's episodes, the presence of Pragya Jaiswal and some of Sri Vasanth's songs are positive points of this movie. It is time that Manchu Manoj should reinvent himself, start working on his looks and recheck his choice of stories. For now, "Gunturodu" turns another dud for him.

Only for Front Benchers!

'Gunturodu - Love Lo Paddadu' - The tagline gives an impression that Love Story might be something special. Actually, Love Track is the weakest link in this movie. Some of the scenes featuring Manoj & Pragya look very silly. Lack of enough Comedy Quotient is an another huge setback. The mind-game of Hero-Villain is pretty ordinary and hence the Second Half falls flat. Even the impressive fights at Interval Bang & Pre-Climax Sequence couldn't be a saving grace. Climax is being executed in a disappointing manner. Overall, 'Gunturodu' is a old wine in old bottle!

Hero’s Show

On the whole, Gunturodu is one film which is clearly aimed at the masses. Manchu Manoj impresses in a new and powerful avatar and Sampath’s performance gives the film some good moments. But some dragged out and below par scenes keep deviating the good plot throughout the film. If you ignore the above such demerits, this film can be watched for the hero-villain conflict and some racy action episodes.

Very Loud-u!

Gunturodu is fairly bearable until the interval point, but it turns utterly ridiculous post interval with lots of loud dialogues and ineffective scenes. Nothing about Gunturodu is worth watching except for Manoj's sincere efforts to make it work. Sadly, the talented actor has once again picked up a wrong subject and the director has let him down big time. Gunturodu team will be hoping that it would be lapped up by the masses, but that seems unlikely.

That self-styled heroism

'Gunturodu' is unabashedly formulaic and predictable. The hero-villain conflict is fairly well-narrated. But for the projection of heroism, the film doesn't quite give a takeaway.

Commercial entertainer which entertains masses

Right from the beginning of the promotions Manoj Manchu and team Gunturodu has promoted this film as an out and out commercial film. To be frank, the movie is full of commercial entertainment and is promoted in the right way. Script and character is well suited for Manoj Manchu and he is superb throughout the movie except for his looks. Audience are much entertained when he is uttering dialogues and when he punches in action sequences. Scenes between hero and villain are well written which entertains audience to the core. Those who expect comedy this movie will be a biggest disappointment as it don’t have it and love story between Pragya Jaiswal and Manoj is weak. There are some scenes beyond logic which are okay in a commercial film where hero is beyond anything and anyone. Though the movie is the mix of movies what we have been seeing for a very long time, Director Satya packaged it in a nice way to reach masses. He succeeded in making Gunturodu a commercial entertainer which entertains masses with Manchu Manoj as a cutout.

Something goes wrong

Gunturodu suffers due to its predictable script and is almost an anti-septic when it comes to emotions or entertainment. Except for Manchu Manoj and Sampath’s performances, there are no other redeeming factors.
