Bhairava Geetha

Even though the story is old, the premise in which it is set looks good. The Rayalaseema backdrop is nicely elevated during the first half an hour and things are shown brutally as to how the downtrodden and low caste people are treated in that area.

One of the biggest minus points of the film is the excess of violence. During the first half, these so-called action sequences look good and create a good effect. 

On the whole, Bhairava Geetha is the same old faction drama which offers nothing new. The first half has some breezy moments but the film takes a beating in the second half with an overdose of violence and forced climax. 

'Bhairava Geetha' was touted by co-writer Ram Gopal Varma as the story of a class war triggered by a love story.  The trailer too threw enough hints that the film would be on similar lines.  

'Bhairava Geetha' comes with stale ideas.  A class war between the oppressed and the oppressor lacks believable writing. 

Siddharth has picked a very routine and clichéd story, a common malaise with all the films that have come out today (December 14th).

Bhairava Geetha operates in extremes at different levels and for different emotions. The land, the love and finally the revolt, are the three aspects of the movie.

The music is another department that fails to deliver big. A good soundtrack could have elevated few parts.
