Different and Deft!

The story is about two guys - Raju and Imtiaz, an aspiring cricketer and a strict police officer. Director Sagaar K Chandra, who debuted with "Ayyare", has picked up a story that is different from regular Telugu masala movies. Sagar Chandra's screenplay at time has slackened but he has written a strong climax that has worked for the advantage of the movie. It is climax that makes you appreciate his efforts. Overall, despite some drawbacks, director Sagar Chandra has come up with a serious and interesting subject. All serious movie lovers will definitely like "Appatlo Okadundevadu" as it creates right mood for the subject and is narrated well.

Once upon a time in Telangana

Appatlo Okadundevadu is about two characters which are dealt with reality. You can see rise and fall of these characters followed by a climax twist. Films of these nature are rare in Telugu films as audiences are not used to these subject. Plus points of the film are writing, performances and realistic approach. On the flipside, a film of this nature needs to be more engaging with an arresting screenplay which is missing in this film (except for the climax). On a whole, Appatlo Okadundevadu is a film with decent content.

A Commendable Job!

Narrating the story from the angles of Imtiaz Ali & Railway Raju sans taking anyone's side makes 'Appatlo Okadundevadu' a very special movie. Although the film starts on a slow note, Momentum picks up once after reaching the conflict point. Interval Block sets the right tone for the second half. Railway Raju's elevation as a gangster has been presented quite well. The last half-an-hour is a major highlight of the movie. Twist in the penultimate portions is really thrilling. Emotional Quotient & the way Climax was designed is very impressive. Linking of the threads with the help of a taut screenplay is praise worthy. Overall, 'Appatlo Okadundevadu' is a different rnfilm you shouldn't miss this Weekend.

Fight for survival

Appatlao Okadundevadu is a film which has some very engaging and emotional moments. Credit should go to Nara Rohit for backing a script like this and even agreeing to do a supporting role which sticks to the story. The surprise package of the film is Sree Vishnu who gives an aspiring performance. This is not a regular popcorn entertainer and will only impress its target audience. All those who like realistic films with some hard hitting drama can happily give this film a shot this weekend.

Heart-touching Journey Into 90s

The first half primarily focuses on establishing the story, characters of Imtiaz, Railway Raju. Post interval, the film struggles. The post-wedding song of Raju and Nithya is unnecessary. It puts you off. But the film picks up as the story progresses. Few dull moments hamper the film. In pre-climax and climax portions, the film tugs ones heartstrings. It's commendable to see Rohith and Vishnu donning the roles of aged people in white hair, beard. It's a brave attempt to portray such roles at this age of their career.

Path breaker in the Telugu film industry

Appatlo Okadundevadu is one of the rarest good films in the recent times. The film is surely going to be a path breaker in the Telugu film industry. The best part of the film is the story and its screenplay. The way Sagar Chandra, the director of the film connected the events with true incidents through a unique screenplay is excellent. The writing is a major plus point in the movie. Appatlo Okadundevadu has so many good moments for which you will be amazed. The minute detailings that the director has taken care of will leave a positive impression on the film. The movie, on the whole, is an engaging, emotional and entertaining ride that will introduce us to a new style of film making in Telugu. This is one must watch film and grab your tickets.
