No Comedy No Horror

Hence the story of “Abhinetri” is not exciting either. Once the twist in the tale is revealed, the horror angle wears off. Even the horror elements are not that effective. The comedy part except few laughs generated by Sapthagiri are not that great. The movie turns into predictable fare. All in all, ‘Abhinetri’ is neither interesting, nor a complete bore, few scenes work out, but few don’t.

Not just a horror comedy

Horror Comedy is an abused genre in Telugu mainly because everybody can afford to do one for being a low-budget genre. We get to see only few films with good content and good standards. Abhinetri is one such kind of film that works based on its content, not just because of the thrills and fear factor. Plus points are casting and classic style of narration. On the flip side, this film is a dubbing film with no male lead belonging to Telugu origin though they are familiar with Telugu people. On a whole, Abhinetri is not just a horror film and there is more to it!

Humour dominates Horror!

Biggest strengths of 'Abhinetri' is its wide-release. The trilingual tag is a blessing in disguise for the movie. Though humour in the movie isn't hilarious, Still audience could have a good time if gone with minimal expectations.

More of a Comedy than horror

Abhinetri is a very simple tale that keeps you occupied (if not entertained) for its two hours duration. if you ignore the few gltiches here and there, it is a movie that can be watched once.

Oh My Ghost

Abhinetri can be watched for its innovative story line and entertaining first half. A thrilling second half would've helped it to work wonders, but the director's aim is to tell a story rather focusing on crowd pleasing elements. If you're planning to watch Abhinetri then don't expect it to be another horror comedy filled with lot of gags and ghost jokes. It is just a Plain-Jane comedy drama with a ghost in it.

Super-natural element with glamour, comedy and romance

'Abhinetri' is lazy for the most part. Banks too much on the dancing brilliance of PD and Tamannah, besides Vijay's Kollywoodish comedy delivered by Tollywood's Sapthagiri and Prudhvi. PD delivers an outdated act. The climax portions hold interest.

Routine story line

One can watch the movie for Prabhu Deva’s as well as Tammana’s dance and for the comedy bits and if anyone expects more than that they would surely be disappointed.

Watchable Horror Comedy Flick

This movie begins with a flashback and goes on a nice tempo. Every poster and trailer of the film gave us a insight that it is of a horror comedy genre and sadly there is nothing much from this genre and it disappoints the audience very much. Even laughs are not more nor the horror elements. The horror part and suspense continues till the character of Ruby is revealed. After this it hardly makes us experience fear. This movie has some good and well composed dance moments from the leads and is enjoyable highly. Director A L Vijay tried to tell the story he had in his own way and it doesn’t entertain much. Sometimes this movie makes audience crave for some comedy or horror element. The best part is that the narrative is so simple and straightforward without giving any room for confusion. To summarise, this Abhinetri is a watchable horror comedy flick.
